On September 10, St. Stephen’s served as an aid station for bicycle riders participating in a 343-mile First Responder Ride for Resilience from Boston to New York City.
The riders were first responders, so by training they were well prepared. Here they worked on bike maintenance on the fourth day of the ride. And of course the church was open so they didn’t need to use the portable toilet seen here.
The tent was set up with drinks and snacks to boost the riders for the next segment of their ride to the city.
A well equipped EMT was stationed not as a rider but to help with injuries and blisters.
The group was inspiring, so determined and joyful in their journey to raise funds for first responders.
