Did You Get The Gift?
If there was a Guiness Book of World Records entry for most gifts exchanged for a single birthday surely it would be Jesus'. The question is - how many of those gifts are for the one whose birthday it is? And how do you find a fitting gift for the God who already has everything plus frankincense, gold and myrrh? In this sermon Fr. Garrett asks hearers if they are able to give the one gift that Jesus has explicitly asked for - that we love our neighbors as ourselves. All of our neighbors. in all circumstances, from the tender to the tragic. Our Christmas celebrations are filled with gatherings, traditions and rituals.
