God is with us. Are we sure?
According to the old saying, if you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there. In this week's Gospel reading (Matthew 4:12-23) Jesus takes a step back so that he can prepare to move forward. Fr. Garrett explains how the distressing news of the arrest of his cousin directly fuels his determination to gather followers and begin the work of blessing and healing. With God's help we always have the opportunity to take what we are given and use it to find our way to light shining in our world. If you know that you want to bask in light, taking the road that leads you there is a sure way to experience God.
