Do You Juggle?
Increasingly it feels like we are pressured to choose sides. If you're for one group, one issue, one team, then you have to be against the other. It is not enough to be an advocate or a supporter alone, to prove your true loyalty you have to demonstrate your opposition to any "other" that might be perceived as, well, "the opposition". In this sermon, offered at the 2023 Armonk Interfaith Thanksgiving Gathering hosted by Congregation B'nai Yisrael, Fr. Garrett pushes back on that presumption using a creative visual illustration and an invitation to make one simple change in the language we use when talking about the things we care about, the things that matter to us.
