Where Can You Find the Holy Spirit?
In a stirring story from the first century, a multi-cultural crowd assembles after hearing a mysterious sound and are astonished to hear a group of people speaking to them in multiple languages (Acts 2:1-21). Each person in the crowd is able to hear in their own native language, but the speakers are not using a language translation app and this is way before the science fictional universal translator from Star Trek. The speakers, who are just as mystified as the crowd, ultimately come to the conclusion that their experience was divinely inspired. While this manifestation of God's inspiration was unexpected, what people want to know today is how we can recognize and even summon God's presence in our lives. In this sermon Fr. Garrett outlines three steps to putting yourself in a position to see the spirit of God in evidence with us.
