Keeping Your Focus

The fun of games like juggling and Jenga is seeing how many times you can add destabilizing elements before the whole thing comes crashing down. That's not as much fun when it happens to you in real life though. In this sermon Fr. Garrett unpacks a story in which demands and distractions stack up one after another and yet the central character inspiringly keeps his focus (Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26). When you have conviction about where you stand, determination in what you are trying accomplish, and the peace that comes from knowing that the purpose of your life is far bigger than yourself, it is very hard to throw you off your game.
