We’re recruiting volunteers (in-store and at-home) for Treasures. Whether you have one hour a week or as much as a day, we’d love to hear from you! Treasures is open on Wednesdays 10 am - 2 pm and Saturdays 10 am - 3 pm.

History

In 2018-19, Treasures celebrated 50 years of service to our community. Founded by Mildred MacDonald in 1968, and reinvigorated in 1993 by the efforts of Ginger Eliasberg, Treasures has always been staffed by a group of dedicated, hard-working volunteers from St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and the surrounding community.

What donations DO YOU ACCEPT?

There have been changes to what we accept so please check the list before dropping off your bags and enter by the door on the right under the sign. We are so grateful for your donations but can only accept items in new or nearly new condition - things you would hand down to a friend or a relative - recently cleaned, no stains, no holes, no rips, no cracks or chips.

Items Accepted

Accessories - Handbags, wallets, scarves, belts, gloves, ties, hats (no caps)

Appliances (small) - Blenders, mixers, toasters, coffee makers

Artwork - Prints, framed art

Books - We are only able to accept children’s books in good condition

Clothing - Women’s, men’s, children’s, infant’s 

Crafts - Art supplies, craft books, yarns and related accessories, patterns, fabric

Electronics - Cameras (vintage and recent); the following accepted if less than 2 years old: computers, printers, copy/fax machines, cell phones, TVs 

Footwear - Shoes, boots, sneakers (well-preserved soles)

Furniture (large) - We can coordinate sale of rugs and larger furniture through auction

Furniture (small) - Items that can be moved by 1 person (e.g., side tables, side chairs)

Health & Beauty - Unopened make-up, fragrances & spa products 

Holiday Decorations - Lighted products must be in working order

Home Goods - Table linens, lamps (without bulbs), comforters/blankets, decorative pillows, curtains, picture frames, unused candles; NEW sheets and towels with tags

Housewares - Dishes, utensils, glasses, pans, crystal, sterling silver (no silverplate) 

Lingerie & Sleepwear - Bras NEW with tags, underwear NEW in sealed package

Jewelry & Watches - Costume and fine jewelry

School Supplies - Calculators, notebooks, pens/pencils/crayons (NEW), folders

Sports Equipment - No helmets

Toys, puzzles, and games - No plush toys

Vintage & Collectibles - Figurines, objects d’art, vinyl albums

Items Not Accepted

Used bathing suits and underwear

Baby furniture and equipment

Large furniture

Wheelchairs and medical devices such as crutches, braces, etc.

DVDs and CDs
