For the first time since March 2020, we will have acolytes serving -- our three graduates! Join us this Sunday in person to celebrate with our graduate acolytes.

Kristin, Dan, and Calvin have served for many years at St. Stephens and we are proud of their accomplishments. Join us Sunday to wish them well as they prepare to head off to college in August.

In addition to Kristin's acolyting, she interned at Treasures Thrift Shop this past spring and especially enjoyed interacting with customers on Saturdays. She plans to spend her summer on the shore at Rye Beach handling kayak rentals for Hudson River Recreation. Kristin is very excited to attend Virginia Tech in the fall where she plans to study Aerospace Engineering.

Daniel will be spending his summer playing baseball (depending on whether his finger is broken from his last game!), and is hoping to find some gainful employment around that. He heads off to John’s Hopkins in late August, where he hopes to double major in Chemistry and Biology, aiming for medical school to become an oncologist. Dan says about acolyting: “I always prefer acolyting to just sitting in the congregation because I like to feel I am part of the service.” He's has grown from wearing the shortest robe to the tallest in 6.5 years!

Calvin graduated Cum Laude from BHHS, and is heading to Vanderbilt University in Nashville this fall. He has worked as a cashier at DeCicco's over the past year, has a great group of friends who he enjoys weight lifting and ‘hanging out’ with. He brings much joy, fun and happiness to his family and even does his own laundry. Calvin says he enjoyed being a part of the service at the altar as it gave him a different perspective those in the congregation.

Award presentations will be made during the announcements section of the service. And that will include the Scout Troop making a donation to St. Stephen's.
